    The Nefertiti Lift

A broader lower-face and neck Botox plan for suitable platysmal pull, jawline border support, DAO, chin and mentalis balance — designed to soften, not freeze, and to preserve a natural expression.

    Precision technique

The platysma is the anatomy. The Nefertiti Lift is the broader lower-face plan.

The platysma is a broad, thin sheet of muscle running from the upper chest into the lower face. When its fibres contract strongly, they may appear as vertical neck cords and contribute to downward pull at the jawline.

A Nefertiti Lift uses conservative toxin placement across a wider lower-face map. It may include the jawline border, selected platysma fibres, DAO, chin Botox and mentalis balance where the anatomy supports it.

If the concern is mainly visible neck cords, our focused platysmal bands treatment page explains that narrower approach.

    Mandibular definition

Jawline border placement may help when downward pull is part of the lower-face pattern.

    Chin and DAO balance

DAO, chin Botox and mentalis treatment are considered only when movement analysis shows they are relevant.

    Experience with demanding anatomy

Strong platysmas require restraint, not bravado.

These real clinical photographs show pronounced muscle activity and treatment in progress. They demonstrate the range of anatomy assessed at Cosmedocs; they do not demonstrate or promise an outcome.

    Clinical judgement

What this treatment can — and cannot — change

The most important part of treatment is distinguishing isolated neck bands from a wider pattern involving jawline border pull, DAO, chin or mentalis activity, skin laxity, volume loss and skeletal change.

    May be suitable for

    • Dynamic vertical neck bands
    • Early downward platysmal pull
    • Jawline border pull
    • Relevant DAO, chin or mentalis activity

    Needs another approach

    • Advanced loose skin
    • Submental fat or volume loss
    • A structural change requiring surgery

    Aftercare and safety

A small treatment area with important boundaries

Most people return to normal daily activity after treatment. Temporary marks or bruising can occur. Your doctor will explain aftercare and the uncommon but important risks, including unintended weakness, smile asymmetry or swallowing difficulty.

Because neck bands sit near muscles involved in expression and swallowing, diagnosis, dose and placement matter more than simply treating every visible line.

Nefertiti Lift and platysmal bands FAQ

The answers remain present in the page for readers and search engines, even when a panel is closed.

The Nefertiti Lift uses carefully placed botulinum toxin injections to relax selected fibres of the platysma: the thin sheet of muscle that can pull down on the lower face and form visible neck bands. Reducing that downward pull can soften dynamic bands and make the jaw–neck transition appear cleaner.
Platysmal bands are the visible vertical neck cords or the underlying concern. The Nefertiti Lift is broader: it can include the jawline border, DAO, chin Botox and mentalis balance as well as selected platysma treatment. They are closely connected, but not identical.
Results commonly last around three to four months, although muscle strength, metabolism and the individual treatment plan affect duration. Your doctor will discuss an appropriate review and maintenance interval.
The effect develops gradually. Early change may be noticed within several days, with the result usually assessed at around two weeks.
The treatment is most relevant when dynamic platysmal pull or visible neck bands contribute to early loss of jawline definition. It cannot remove loose skin, restore lost bone or fat volume, or replace surgery where laxity is advanced.
Temporary redness, tenderness or bruising may occur. Less common complications include smile asymmetry, neck weakness or swallowing difficulty if toxin affects an unintended muscle. This advanced anatomical area requires assessment and treatment by an appropriately qualified medical practitioner.
The published Cosmedocs price is £300. A consultation is needed to confirm whether this treatment is appropriate for your anatomy and concern.
