What is Microneedling

Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) is a treatment that involves creating tiny tears into the skin with small needles.

These small punctures stimulate the body’s self healing response and begin the process of cell renewal.

As your skin heals, there is a boost in the collagen and elastin, giving you an almost instant plumped up and firming effect.

The treated areas are visibly rejuvenated, correcting sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars

What is a Microneedling Facial?

Medical Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), rejuvenates the skin by producing numerous micro channels in the skin, which encourages the formation of collagen and generates new skin cells.

After a topical numbing cream has been applied, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased. The eDermastamp single-use, sterile needle headpiece is then set to the correct speed and depth for the treatment area and moved over the skin to create many microscopic channels.

With medical needling the depth is within the papillary dermal layer of the skin where collagen and elastin fibres are located. The tiny punctures close over almost immediately as the channels are very small.

The ‘micro tears’ to the dermis encourages the skin to repair itself by producing new collagen and elastin, and generating new skin cells. This results in thicker, plumper and more youthful skin.

Microneedling Treatment Benefits

Corrects Wrinkles & Lines

Collagen and elastin are crucial skin proteins that give firmness and resilience to your skin, hence, a youthful look.

The skin healing processes promote your body to develop new skin cells, which visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines.

Reversing Sun Damage

Microneedling facial can help improve the appearance of sun damage, such as hyperpigmentation as well as age spots.

If you suffer from a blotchy, uneven complexion due to too much sun exposure, microneedling renews skin cells and revitalises your entire complexion and even out skin tone.

Fading Acne & Acne Scars

Microneedling helps to minimise scars from injuries or acne by breaking down scar tissue and encouraging skin protein, collagen to restore its surface. You may achieve visible improvement with a series of derma roller for acne scars.

Correcting Large Open Pores

Even though this non-invasive procedure requires creating micro tears in your skin, the treatment has no effect on the size of your pores.

It actually makes your pores seem smaller. This is because the collagen around your pores is boosted, and the skin around each pore renews, practically shrinking the pore itself.

Rejuvenating Hands, Neck And Décolletage

The superficial layers of the skin are renewed to rebuild their collagen and rejuvenate the skin of the neck, hands and decolletage. This is due to micro tears using the Derma roller UK or the Dermapen.

When done in combination with skincare products, the skin can absorb the nutrients and goodness of the skincare routine effectively.
