Veins are compressed using cotton pads. After that, a compression stocking is applied in order to press the treated veins, so that they do not allow blood to pass through them.
During the thread vein removal procedure, one leg is treated per session, while each leg multiple may requires multiple sessions.
The treated veins should fade gradually in around 6 - 12 weeks. Sclerotherapy does not require any specific recovery time.
Contact the clinic if you feel the inflammation has become more after treatment. Bruising is common and may last for 1-2 weeks and while the areas of pigmentation along the treated vein may persist for 6 - 12 weeks, while it takes longer with large varicose veins to recover.
